We are a nuclear family. Here are our biographies, in order of our height: Jesse is a journalist, John is a writer, Maureen is an artist and Abigail is an editrix.

Every once in awhile, we update the site. We invite you to join our mailing list to receive an email when new things are added, or whenever we remember to send an email.

Maureen has exhibited in galleries and museums world-wide, from Tokyo, to San Francisco, to the National Arts Club in New York City. Her work twice has been featured in American Artist magazine. John's short stories have been published in literary magazines including Sou'wester, The Bridge, Indiannual, The Rockford Review and The Florida Review. Jesse's photos have been shown in galleries in and around New York City including the Edward Hopper House gallery, ABC No Rio, the Carriage House Center, Photographic, and the Chrystie Street Gallery.

"Parsnips" has gotten cited in the Manhattan User's Guide ("a promising fledgling webzine!") and by Flak Magazine ("smoothest!") We have fans at StumbleUpon and chaoskitty/webzen, a design site. The Scotsman newspaper called it "sharply beautiful." The Indiana Plein Air Painters' Association says we made them laugh out loud.

The proverb "fine words butter no parsnips" is just another way of saying "talk is cheap."
